Mr. Healey-7th and 8th Grade Social Studies:

I am Jack Healey, born September 16, 1960 in Highland Park, Illinois. I graduated from Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, Illinois in 1978.  I followed a College preparatory course of studies, was a member of NHS, and lettered in football and track & field.  I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois in 1982. I hold a major in Psychology (Developmental) and a minor in Secondary Education and I earned athletic letters for football and lacrosse. My first teaching experience was from 1982 until 1986 in Galesburg, Illinois at Costa Catholic School. At Costa, I also served as Athletic Director and coach for football, basketball and track teams. I moved to Arizona in 1986 where I began substituting and spent 15+ years working at General Motors Desert Proving Ground in Mesa. I am a 16 year resident of Johnson Ranch, and I started as a substitute for FUSD in 2004 at Walker Butte. This is my twelfth year under full-time contract; spent teaching math and Social Studies and coaching football and basketball here at Skyline Ranch K-8. I spend my free time traveling on two wheels and cheering for my childhood “Windy City” teams.  It truly is GREAT to be a BULLDOG.

Mrs. Fraser-6th Grade Social Studies/Science:

I have had the amazing opportunity of spending the last 17 years in the field of education. After receiving my BS in history from CSULB in 1997, I went on to get my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Chapman University. In 2005 my husband and I moved from California to Arizona, and I began teaching at Skyline Ranch. My time at Skyline has been spent teaching both fifth and sixth grade. I have one child who is also a Skyline Ranch Bulldog. My hobbies include reading and spending time with my family. I look forward to a great year with my sixth grade students.

Mr Formichella:

I'm Joseph Formichella, and I'm excited to be teaching 7th and 8th grade Science at Skyline Ranch this year. I taught Biology at the high school level in Phoenix many years ago, and I taught Screenwriting in the motion picture program at Scottsdale Community College for several years as well. In the mean time, I've written software documentation and online help files, detected fraud for a local internet company, and worked in support of Hospice of the Valley. After all that, I'm looking forward to getting back into the classroom!  I was born and raised in Arizona, went to ASU for my undergrad degree, and went back to ASU again for my Master in Secondary Education. I just moved into Queen Creek from Tempe, so I'm getting to know my way around. I have two Dachshunds and a cat who are trying to peacefully coexist, with mixed results. My oldest son is attending college and plans to do social work. My other son is a senior at McClintock High School in Tempe. I'm a lifelong learner, I love computers and other technology, and it will be great to get my students excited about science!
