Athletic Paperwork Instructions

All student athletes in the Florence Unified School District will use Register My Athlete to submit all athletic paperwork. Register My Athlete allows parents to register their athletes for sports online. Here are some basic steps to follow when registering your athlete for the first time:

1.      Find Your School: Find your school by going to:

Next, select your state and find your school. Click on the school to continue to the next step.

2.   Create an account: Now begin creating your account by clicking the “Create an Account” button. After filling in the required information the system will automatically log you in and you will be required to accept the terms of use.

3.   Add a new athlete: The next step is to add an athlete. You can do so by clicking “My Athletes” tab on the left-hand side of the page or by clicking “Add Athlete” underneath the “My Athletes” tab. This only needs to be done once during your athlete’s entire career at a school. The information includes your athlete’s contact information and medical information.

4.   The athlete’s profile: After you’ve created your athlete you will be brought to their Profile page. This page is a summary of their info and involvement.

5.   Register for a sport: Click “+ Register for A Sport” to begin registration, you will be asked to choose which sport(s) your athlete is registering for. *Please select any and all sports that your child may decide to participate in. This will save time later. If they decide not to play a sport that they have registered for, that is ok.

6.   Your registration checklist: This page shows the status of your athlete’s registration. You will be asked to complete several steps to complete registration including agreeing to documents, and completing the physical.

7.   Physicals:     Physical documents should be completed by the medical professionals. Parents have the ability to upload these physical documents to the system. Uploaded documents will need to be verified by the athletic director prior to being accepted as complete. (If a document upload is rejected for any reason, the parent will receive an email with the rejection reason. After the error has been corrected, parents will be able to re-upload the document for verification.)

8.   Complete registration:    Your registration is complete once all items on the checklist have been completed.

9.   After registration:    After registration is complete, you can login at any time to view the status of your athlete and their participation on the team.

Additional Athletes: Under the same account, repeat steps 3-9 to register additional athletes.

Future Seasons: Once your athlete has been added to your account, you only need to follow steps 5-8 to register them for another sport.

Bulldog Athletic Philosophy

Skyline Ranch K-8 believes that a dynamic program of student activities is vital to the educational development of the student. Skyline Ranch K-8's athletic program, along with our Community Education program, will provide a variety of experiences to enhance the development of positive student habits and attitudes that will prepare them for adult life in a democratic society.

Athletics should function as an integral part of the total curriculum. It should offer opportunities to serve the school, to assist in the development of positive relationships and good will, to promote self-realization, all-around growth and good citizenship qualities.

Athletics play an important part in the life of Skyline Ranch K-8. Young people learn a great deal from participation in interscholastic athletics. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition and how to win and lose gracefully are integral parts of our athletic program.

Athletic competition also plays an important part in helping students develop a healthy self-concept as well as a healthy body. Athletic competition also improves school spirit and helps students develop pride in their school.

The interscholastic athletic program shall be conducted in accordance with existing Board of Education policies, rules and regulations. While the Board of Education takes great pride in winning, it does not condone winning at any "cost” and discourages any and all pressures which might tend to neglect good sportsmanship and good mental health. At all times, the athletic program must be conducted in such a way as to justify it as an educational activity.

The desired outcome for participants in our athletic program is that they will attain the following traits:

Ability to set and achieve goals               Self-confidence                Competitiveness

Accountability                                        Teamwork                        Respect for self and others

Commitment                                          Leadership                        Self-discipline

Ability to deal with adversity                  Sportsmanship                   Pride

Responsibility                                      Ability to communicate        Work ethic

Academic achievement                        High self-esteem                   Graciousness

Sportsmanship Pregame Message

Sportsmanship Pre-Game Message

The highest potential in sports is achieved when all participants are committed to Pursuing Victory with Honor, and everyone embodies the six core pillars of Respect, Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Caring, Fairness, and Citizenship.  Please share with your spectators, coaches and fellow players that this game will be played under these guidelines, and any acts of unsporting behavior will not be tolerated.  Thank you and good luck to both teams.
